WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO

Ten things. Ten honest answers.

This isn't a guide you read and file away. It's a scorecard you fill in.

You'll go through the ten things every artist needs in place to make a proper living from their work. For each one you mark yourself: yes, partly, or no. At the end you add up your score and you'll land in one of three bands and you'll know, in black and white, what to fix first.

Most artists find the gaps aren't where they expected. It's rarely the painting. It's usually one or two unglamorous things that have been quietly capping their income for years.

The three bands:

• 0 - 3 Hobby setup. You're making work. You're not yet running a business. That's fine, but it explains a lot.
• 4 - 6 Foundations laid. The pieces exist but nothing's joined up. This is where most artists get stuck, and it's the most fixable place to be.
• 7 - 10 Business running. The basics are in. From here it's about consistency and scale, not more setup.

Hi, I'm Sophie.

I’m an artist, art biz educator, and entrepreneur and I literally live to be creative.

As a Brit who moved to Aus, I am now living in Perth, Western Australia. I landed here ‘accidentally’ after a few years traveling as a ‘ digital nomad’ with my online business and am now very excited to call this home. I’m also mother to my 2 beautiful grown-up daughters, one of whom I’m proud to also call my business partner (you'll see her around!).

I am also a fully qualified and experienced Artist, Educator, award-winning Business Coach, and Entrepreneur. 
Having brought together my two passions, entrepreneurship, and creativity - I help artists to build a profitable business around their own art practice.

I have spent over 15 years working with hundreds of business start-ups and now artists; to help them gain the clarity, confidence, and self-belief, as well as all the practical business skills they need to build that dream art business and design their ideal lifestyle.
